For Community Organizations

When someone your program serves needs help with problematic sexual behavior or anger, one phone call can connect them with care.

Community organizations that serve families and young people across Oklahoma can connect someone with Chatman Counseling and Rehabilitation by calling (405) 205-6314 or emailing the office. The practice works with adolescents 13 to 17 and adults on problematic sexual behavior and anger. Sessions take place in person at the Oklahoma City office or by telehealth for clients located anywhere in the state, and every client starts with a free 20 to 30 minute consultation.

Good Fit

Who to Connect With the Practice

Consider a referral when someone you serve is:

  • An adolescent, 13 to 17, showing problematic sexual behavior
  • An adult, 18 or older, working on problematic sexual behavior
  • A teen or adult whose anger is hurting relationships, work, school or legal standing
  • Under a court, probation or OJA requirement, keeping in mind that each body decides whether it accepts a provider
  • Ready to take responsibility for their actions and build healthier coping skills

Three Ways to Connect Someone With Care

  1. Share the Number

Give the person or their family the office number, (405) 205-6314, so they can schedule the free consultation themselves.

  2. Reach Out for Them

With the person's permission, call or email the office yourself. Keep first emails and voicemails to names, contact details and a general reason, since neither is secure.

  3. Point to the Contact Page

The Contact page has the phone number and email, so a family can reach the office when they are ready.

Telehealth Anywhere in Oklahoma

The only office is in Oklahoma City, at 5350 S Western Ave, Suite 522, with in-person sessions Monday through Friday by appointment. For people your program serves elsewhere in the state, telehealth is available as long as the client is located in Oklahoma during sessions.

Whether to meet in person or by telehealth can be talked through at the free consultation, along with any questions the family has about how sessions work.

OJA (Office of Juvenile Affairs) approved in Oklahoma for problematic sexual behavior and anger management. Court-approved therapist for problematic sexual offense treatment.

Insurance, Medicaid and Payment

The practice is Medicaid approved. It accepts Humana, Oklahoma Complete Health (part of Oklahoma's Medicaid program), Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), Ambetter and HealthChoice, and Aetna is coming back soon. Because coverage differs by plan, families should check their benefits with the office before starting.

Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover are accepted. Current rates are on the Rates and Insurance page, and financial responsibilities are explained at intake.

What the Practice Does Not Provide

Knowing the limits helps a program send the right people. The practice does not see children under 13, and it does not offer coaching, medication, inpatient care, crisis services, couples therapy or general counseling for depression or trauma.

The office is not an emergency service. Someone in crisis can call or text 988, and anyone in immediate danger should call 911.

Questions From Community Programs

Does someone need a court order or agency referral to start?

No. The free consultation is open to anyone considering treatment, with or without a legal requirement.

Can our staff ask general questions before referring anyone?

Yes. Call (405) 205-6314 to ask about fit, services or scheduling in general terms, without sharing identifying details.

Will the practice keep our organization informed?

Only if the client signs consent to share information with your organization. Without it, what the client discusses in counseling stays private, within the limits the law sets.
